Tracking
Install the snippet. Plugin data is added automatically based on what you enable under Plugins.
Paste this just before </head> on your site.
Off by default. GhostStat identifies a visitor with a hash that rotates every night, so the same
person counts as new each day and nothing links them over time — that is what makes the
default cookieless and non-identifying.
Turning this on stores an additional, longer-lived per-site identifier so returning
visitors, lifetimes and retention can be measured. It is still cookieless and still cannot follow
anyone to another site, but it does track one person over time on this one —
so it is your call, not a default.
Page audit
The audit fetches your pages and reads their markup and styles — contrast, tap targets, form length, headings, viewport, images, typography, render-blocking scripts. It makes real requests to your server, so it stays off until you turn it on.
One per line. A trailing
* matches everything beneath it;
anything else must match exactly. Useful for admin areas, checkout steps and staging paths.Optional. GhostStat already checks
robots.txt and the usual
locations on your main domain. Add URLs here if a sitemap lives somewhere else, or if each
subdomain publishes its own.Public stats
Publish this site’s stats as its own public microsite — visitors, top pages, referrers, devices and countries. Aggregates only; recordings, heatmaps and visitor profiles are never included.
This path lives on your web server, so GhostStat can’t serve it directly — add one of these to point it at your microsite. The reverse-proxy options keep the URL on your domain (best for SEO); the embed works anywhere with no server config.
Data limits
Heavy-capture governance for this site — heatmap & recording sampling, daily caps and retention. Leave a field blank to use your plan default (shown in the box).
