Cookieless by design
Every visit has a feeling.
GhostStat reads intent, attention and frustration from behaviour alone — no cookies, no fingerprints, no following anyone anywhere. Just what happened, and how it felt.
What GhostStat is
Analytics without the following.
GhostStat counts visits and reads how they went. Nothing is left behind in anyone's browser: no cookies, no local storage.
Privacy
Forgotten by midnight.
A visitor is recognised by a one-way code that changes every day. Tomorrow the same person is a stranger again, by design.
Behaviour, not people
We read the visit, not the visitor.
Scrolls, clicks, pauses and paths show how a page is working. Who someone is never enters the picture.
The emotions
Three signals, one journey.
Every visit gets three scores from 0 to 100: intent, attention and frustration. Together they describe how the visit felt.
The emotions · Intent
Were they trying to get something done?
Intent measures how purposeful a visit looks. A visitor who is heading somewhere scores high; one who is just browsing scores low.
Intent · The signals
Purpose leaves a trail.
Going straight for the button, finishing a form and taking a short, direct path all lift intent. Aimless wandering doesn't.
The emotions · Attention
Did they actually read it?
Attention measures reading depth and time on the page. A high score means the page was read, not just scrolled past.
Attention · The signals
Skimming looks different from reading.
A steady scroll and time spent on the text raise attention. Racing to the bottom or stalling halfway lowers it.
The emotions · Frustration
Where did it hurt?
Frustration measures friction: rage clicks, dead clicks and going back and forth. Unlike the other two, a higher score is worse.
Frustration · The signals
A rage click is a small shout.
Each of these adds to frustration: hitting the same spot again and again, tapping something that isn't a link, or bouncing back and forth between pages.
Reading the waves
Wanting it, and not getting it.
High intent with high frustration is someone trying hard and getting stuck. That's the fix that pays off first.
How it works
One small script does the listening.
It loads in the background, bundles what happens on the page and sends it in batches. If the connection drops, it waits and tries again.
How it works · The journey
A visit is a story with moments.
Pages, clicks and pauses are joined into one visit, and the key moments are marked: the dots on the line above.
